Florida Contractor Additional information:
Florida contractors must fulfill a requirement of 14 hours of continuing education to renew their Florida contractor license, including 1 hour of FL advanced building code training. Our correspondence continuing education classes are approved to fulfill the Florida contractor continuing education requirements.
That said, not all correspondence continuing education courses are approved in Florida for license renewal, so before taking a course other than ours, you will want to make sure that the course is fully approved by the state.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you report my results to the Florida Construction Industry Licensing Board?
Yes, we report all continuing education results electronically to the Florida CILB. That way you can easily renew your license.
Do you offer the mandatory advanced building code course for Florida?
Yes, we offer the advanced building code course. It is fully approved by the CILB and the FL Building Commission.
Do you offer any continuing education training that is not correspondence?
We offer correspondence continuing education to renew your Florida license. We do not offer any classroom continuing education courses for FL contractors. We find that most Florida Contractors prefer to complete their continuing education by using our course booklet. The continuing education exams can then be submitted via mail, fax, email, or through our website (see above, at the top of this page).
Do you provide me with a certificate of completion when I finish your continuing education course?
Yes, all graduates of our Florida contractor continuing education course will receive a certificate of completion. We can either email, mail, or fax the certificate to you.
Do I need to provide my certificate to the Florida Construction Industry Licensing Board to prove that I completed my continuing education when I renew my license?
The FL CILB may ask you to provide them with a copy of your continuing education certificate so be sure to hang on to it. You can find out more at their website by clicking here.
What’s in the 5-hour Specialty online continuing education course?
The 5-hour Specialty course covers Workplace Safety, Workers’ Compensation, Laws and Rules, Business Practices, and Wind Mitigation.
Can I take this course on my phone?
Yes, our courses are mobile compatible. You can finish your continuing education with ease using your phone, tablet, or computer.
Do you renew my Florida license for me?
No. Completing your continuing education credits does not complete the renewal of your license. Once you have completed all of your required continuing education, you must pay the Florida Construction Industry Licensing Board the license renewal fees, as we cannot do that for you.
