In order to renew your contractor license, Florida requires 14 hours of continuing education to be completed by August 31 every two years, depending on the license type. This includes a minimum of 1 hour each of the Advanced Building Code, Workers Compensation, Workplace Safety, Laws & Rules, and Business Practices. We offer two 14-hour packages that include ALL of these topics. The Florida Construction Industry Licensing Board approves the courses below; our CE course provider number is PVD1314.

Do you report my results to the Florida Construction Industry Licensing Board?
Yes, we report all continuing education results electronically to the Florida CILB, making it easier for you to renew your license.
Do you offer the mandatory advanced building code course for Florida?
Yes, we offer the advanced building code course. It is fully approved by the CILB and the FL Building Commission.
Do you offer the 1-hour Pool Electrical Requirements course for CPC Licensees?
Yes, we offer the 1-hour mandatory Pool Electrical Requirements course for Certified Pool/Spa Contractors. This course is included in the Pool and Spa Contractor bundle and as a stand-alone course and is fully approved by the CILB.
Do you still offer correspondence courses?
No, we are no longer able to offer correspondence courses, as they do not meet the states requirements of “interactive distance learning” Our new on demand courses are approved and meet this requirement.
Do you provide me with a certificate of completion when I finish your continuing education course?
Yes, all graduates of our Florida contractor continuing education course will receive a certificate of completion. For online courses you will be able to download your certificate upon completion of that course. Correspondence course certifications can be emailed, mailed, or faxed to you.
Do I need to provide my certificate to the Florida Construction Industry Licensing Board to prove that I completed my continuing education when I renew my license?
The FL CILB may ask you to provide them with a copy of your continuing education certificate so be sure to hang on to it. You can find out more by visiting the Florida Construction Industry Licensing Board.

The 5-hour Contracting Specialty course covers Workplace Safety, Workers’ Compensation, Laws and Rules, Business Practices, and Wind Mitigation.

Yes, our courses are mobile compatible. You can finish your continuing education using your phone, tablet, or computer.
Are all continuing education courses approved for license renewal in Florida?
No, not all continuing education courses are approved in Florida for license renewal. Before taking a course other than ours, you will want to make sure that the course if fully approved by the state.
Do you renew my Florida license for me?
No. Completing your continuing education credits does not complete the renewal of your license. Once you have completed all of your required continuing education, you must pay the Florida Construction Industry Licensing Board the license renewal fees in order to renew your license.
