Alaska contractors must fulfill a requirement of 16 hours of continuing education to renew their Alaska contractor license. Up to 8 hours of this training can relate to business topics, while technical topics can account for 1 to 16 total hours.

NEW for 2024: all General, Residential, Specialty, Mechanical, and Handyman Construction Contractors now have professional license expiration dates of 9/30 of even years. You are encouraged to renew prior to 9/30/24, but your license will not lapse until 1/1/2025 just for this year.

Are you approved by the state of Alaska?

Do you report my results to the state of Alaska?
No. Construction contractors should maintain a copy of a certificate of completion for five years and make available to the board upon request.

Do you offer any continuing education training that is not online?
We offer online continuing education to renew your Alaska contractor license. We do not offer any classroom continuing education courses for AK contractors. We find that most students prefer to complete their continuing education online on their computer, smartphone, or tablet.

Do you provide me with a certificate of completion when I finish your continuing education course?
Yes, all graduates of our Alaska contractor continuing education course will receive a certificate of completion. Certificates will be available for you to download at the end of the course.

Do you renew my Alaska license for me?
No. Completing your continuing education credits does not complete the renewal of your license. Please visit the Alaska Professional Licensing Construction Contractors page for license renewal instructions.

How long do I have to complete my online course?
Access to purchased online courses will expire 1 year after the first day you login to the course. Please complete your learning within 1 year to avoid losing access to your course.

Can I take this course on my phone?
