This course will discuss the principles of modular construction and the associated benefits. Participants will develop an understanding of what modular construction is and be able to clearly differentiate between the different types of manufactured and factory-built homes. During this course we will also explore some of the myths and misconceptions about modular construction. The course will explore the construction standards and building codes that apply to both modular and manufactured structures. We will also take an in-depth look at the process of constructing modular buildings in both residential and commercial settings. Finally, the course will review some examples of modular construction and the available amenities.
